Chennai, Aug 7 (): Vijay starrer Thalaivaa is facing trouble from some unknown anti-social elements, who are threatening the theatre owners of causing violence if the film is screened in their theatres.
The theatre owners are now put under severe dilemma. Some reports say that, some of the leading theatres in Chennai city which were set to screen Thalaivaa in their property have suddenly stopped their advance booking.
Theatres like Devi, Kasi, Abirami, Mayajaal, Sangam and some more theatres are said to have received threats from anti-social elements on creating possible violence.
Vijay in a press release has assured that the film has nothing to do with politics. He added Thalaivaa is a complete family entertainer with all entertaining elements such as romance, action and comedy. It is neither a political film nor is it targeting any political group or individual. The actor has asked not to believe such rumours.

Vijay’s last movie Thuppakki also faced some pre-release controversies. Till date Thalaivaa did not face any problem, but the latest controversy has caused a heavy tension for the makers of the movie.
