Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s biopic Bhaag Milkha Bhaag is still the first choice of movie goers despite new releases of July 19 with different genre – espionage thriller D-Day and romcom Ramaiya Vastavaiya.
Bhaag Milkha Bhaag is a biopic based on the life of “The Flying Sikh” Milkha Singh, an Indian athlete who was a national champion runner and an Olympian. The film stars Farhan Akhtar, Sonam Kapoor, Divya Dutta, Pavan Malhotra and Meesha Shafi.
The film was released on 12 July and received highly positive response from critics. The biopic movie has also topped the domestic collection chart in the second weekend, beating these two movies – D-Day and Ramaiya Vastavaiya.
Now, the question is are there any chances of reaching the magical mark of 100 crores? Trade experts say that it has all chances of achieving it. On the weekdays, it is likely to collect Rs 9 to 10 crore, taking its 14 days total to Rs 80 crores.
As there are no big releases in its third week, it might rake in another 20 crore to make it to Rs 100 crore club.
