Johannesburg, July 7 (ANI): The American doubles pairing of twins Bob and Mike Bryan became the first men’s doubles team to hold the Olympic Gold and all four Grand Slams together in the Open era after they captured their third Wimbledon title on Saturday.
According to sport24, the top seeds beat Croatia’s Ivan Dodig and Marcelo Melo of Brazil 2-6, 6-3, 6-4, 6-4, and added their tally of men’s doubles Grand Slam titles to 15, while taking part in their 25th Grand Slam final.
The paper said that Mike Bryan had revealed that the 35-year old brothers, who currently have a winning streak of 24 matches, still have plenty of ambitions, including defending their Olympic title in 2016 in Brazil.
Mike said that they had just won their 91st title and would like to take the tally to a 100 titles overall, adding that they would also like to finish No.1 ten times in their career. (ANI)
