Mumbai, June 13 (): Candidates are informed that admission to Master of Computer Applications (MCA) course for the academic year 2013-14 through distance and open learning mode are invited by the University of Mumbai.
Course duration: Three years (Six Semesters)
Eligibility: Graduate in a recognized University with minimum 45% marks, in any faculty. Mathematics as a subject at XII or higher level and minimum 40% for reserved category.
Final year students whose results are yet to be declared can also appear for the entrance exam.

Exam timings : 11am to 1pm.
MCA (IDOL) Entrance test
Candidates with minimum qualification in any faculty of an authorized University who obtained minimum 45% marks are eligible for appearing in the Entrance test. Mathematics XII of higher level and (minimum 40% for reserved category)
For MCA course an aptitude test will be conducted which will have 100 questions with two hours duration.
Indian citizens residing in India can apply for admission. NRI and Foreign students, who reside either in India or abroad will not be eligible.
SC: 13% seats, ST: 7& Seats DT (A):3% seat, NT (B):2.5%Seats, NT(C):3.5% Seats, NT (D):2% Seats, OBC/SBC: 19%Seats, Physically Handicapped: 3% Seats, Others: 3% seats (Transferred govt. employees wards etc).
Verification of necessary documents including caste certificates will be done at the time of admission for candidates who qualify for the entrance test. Students were requested to submit their forms online from 24th May, 2013 to 5th May,2013.
Students can pay the fees of Rs 500, for entrance exam through bank challan of Bank of Maharashtra or through Credit / Debit Card by Payment Gateway.
The board also notifies that under any circumstances these fees will be non-refundable and non-transferable. Students are requested to pay Demand Draft of Rs 500/- towards entrance exam in favour of “Institute of Distance Open Learning (IDOL). University of Mumbai”.
