Mumbai, May 25 (TruthDive): Tamil actor Dhanush, who is making his Bollywood debut with Raanjhnaa, launched the film’s music along with co-star Sonam Kapoor at the Radio Mirchi Studios in Mumbai, on Friday noon.
At the launch function, Dhanush said that he was much excited about the music of A R Rahman as the music composer has created his magic again.
Sonam Kapoor looked chic in her Sailex gown, at the music launch occasion.
Sonam Kapoor talked about her school days, she said that there were not many guys after her in school and even if there were, she hardly came to know about them because she had two brothers in the same grade. Arjun was there with her in school. And her friends were all girls so they used to walk in packs and boys used to get scared to approach them.
Saying about her role in Raanjhanaa, Sonam Kapoor said she took inspiration from Bollywood veteran Jaya Bachchan to portray the role of a school girl in her upcoming film Raanjhanaa.
In director Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s film ‘Guddi’, Jaya Bhaduri played the role of a courageous and carefree schoolgirl. In Raanjhanaa, Sonam plays a middle-class student from Varanasi.
Sonam in her school days used to wear Nehru style salwar kameez. She was never able to wear a short skirt in school. They had to tie plaits, hair band and oil their hair etc, they never looked pretty. The girls in her school used to talk about other school girls wearing short uniforms.
But, through Raanjhanaa, she has removed all her frustration and wore short uniforms, gave attitude to boys etc. Raanjhanaa’s trailer showing Sonam in short skirt uniforms is drawing praises from all quarters.
Raanjhanaa, the romantic movie, starring Sonam and Dhanush in lead roles is slated to hit theatres on June 28.
