Mumbai, May 23 (TruthDive): For the first time, Tamil superstar Rajinikanth has lent his voice for singing a Hindi song for his next movie Kochadaiyaan, which is simultaneously made in Hindi.
Kochadaiyaan is being directed by Rajinikanth’s daughter Soundarya. Rajini had sung a Tamil song previously for this movie and this would be the first time the actor is singing in Hindi.
While legendary Vairamuthu has penned the Kollywood version, Irshad Kamil has translated the same lyrics to Hindi. It is being reported that the song is more of a recitation of beliefs and philosophies of Rajinikanth.
Few lines in the song depicts the following quotes: man loves to own land but land grabs him in the end due to greediness. The song has been composed by Oscar award-winning music composer AR Rahman.
The most interesting part of the news is that the superstar crooned a song after 21 years for Kochadaiyaan. Previously, the actor had sung in the song “Adikuthu Kuliru” from 1992-release “Mannan”.
Talking about the song, Soundarya Ashwin said that the song begins with Rajinikanth’s voice. It is a wonderful song composed by AR Rahman. She further went on that this is the best ever composition of the Oscar award winner.
Kochadaiyaan is a period-drama featuring Rajinikanth in dual roles. The film also stars Jackie Shroff, Aadi Pinisetty, Nassar, Shobhana and R Sarath Kumar. The movie is about the Pandya king Kochadaiyaan Ranadheeran and the fictional account of the ruler.
“Kochadaiyaan” is the first 3D Indian film to use state-of-art motion capturing technique. The movie is jointly produced by Eros International and Media One Global Entertainment. The music is done by AR Rahman and cinematography is handled by Rajiv Menon. The film will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and English.
The film is expected to get released in July, but there is no official word on it.
