South emerges tops in ICSE,ISC exams; Chennai girl comes third in ISC exam

Chennai/New Delhi, May 18 (TruthDive): The southern region in the country has recorded the highest pass percentage  in the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) class X examination and  the Indian School Certificate (ISC) class XII examination for the third consecutive year. The  ICSE and ISC exam results were announced on Friday, May 17.

While the overall pass percentage in the Class 10 (ICSE) exam was 98.2% and 95.15% in Class 12 exam  (ISC), the pass rate in the southern region was 99.66% and 98.28% respectively according to TOI reports.

Bhuvanya Vijay, a national champion debater and a student of St. Joseph’s Academy, Dehradun  is the national topper who has secured  the  highest marks in ISC – 99%  in Class 12 board exams.

Chennai girl, Apeksha Avinash Somalinga from Sishya in Chennai  has done the city  proud by bagging the third rank in ISC class XII exam. Apeksha had secured 98.5%, and has scored full marks in mathematics and computer science.

Ajay Ebenezer Sundararaj from Ida Scudder School in Vellore topped the ICSE class X exam in Tamil Nadu with 98.20 per cent.

Many schools in Chennai have put up a good show recording cent percent results.
