Raanjhanaa : Dhanush and Sonam romance in ‘Tum Tak’ song

Mumbai, May 6 (TruthDive): Tum Tak, the first song from the film, ‘Raanjhanaa’ featuring Dhanush and Sonam Kapoor in lead roles, has been released online, just few days after the release of the trailer of the film.

Kolaveri Di fame actor and superstar Rajinikanth’s son-in-law Dhanush is making his Bollywood debut with Raanjhanaa, which is directed by Tanu Weds Manu fame, Anand L Rai.

The song trailer tells the teenage romance of Dhanush and Sonam Kapoor which blossoms form their childhood. The song showcases Dhanush in a really youthful and naughty manner.

Tum Tak has been sung by Keerthi Sagathia and Javed Ali. The music for the movie is composed by Oscar winning music composer A R Rahman.

Few hours before the release of the song, Dhanush tweeted: “Raanjhanaa first song trailer releases at 12… a r rahman sirs magic continues with “Tum tak”. A perfect happy day. Raanjhanaa first song trailer.. everybody’s love story.”

Tum Tak shows Sonam Kapoor in a new avatar alongside Dhanush. Set in Benaras, Sonam plays the role Zoya, a school girl. In the song, Sonam is dressed in a check school uniform with two oily plaits whereas Dhanush plays the role of Kundan, a youngster from Varanasi, madly in love with his neighbour played by Sonam.

Kundan’s world starts and ends with the beautiful Zoya (Sonam Kapoor). The song beautifully captures the love story between the pair in the breath taking backdrop of Benaras and of course the soothing music of Rahman.

Besides Dhanush and Sonam, the movie also has Abhay Deol in an important role. Abhay plays an aspiring politician, who is also madly in love with Sonam. But the rustic Dhanush is confident that he will get the love of his life in the end.

Tum Tak song is visually vibrant, dramatic and has a strong romantic pull to it, with the trademark Rahman touch, which makes the number truly hummable.
