New Delhi, Apr 29 (): Deciding to hold a nationwide agitation on May 4-5 against the ruling UPA-II Government over irregularity in coal blocks and 2G spectrum allocations, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday declared to take a fight against corruption and hold demonstrations in all state capitals and will submit a memorandum to the governors.
The Congress government is trying to put a mask to cover up the corruption that has surfaced in the coal issue, said BJP spokesperson Prakash Javadekar to reporters adding that the party will protest against corruption and will take the issue to the people of the country.
Responding to Prime Minister backing Union Law and Justice Minister Ashwani Kumar, the BJP spokesperson claimed that the Prime Minister is using the Law Minister as a shield to safeguard himself. Stating that the Law Minister has acted according to the order of the Prime Minister, his involvement in the issue is very well recognized, said Javedkar.
The Prime Minister does not want the Law Minister to resign as he fears that if the Law Minister goes, he will be the next under fire, said Javedkar. The BJP reacts sharply to the Prime Minister’s statement saying that the Law Minister will not resign, said Javedkar.
He said that the Prime Minister is putting the blame on the BJP for not allowing the parliament to function due to which the whole world is laughing and ridiculing the system of democracy of the country. The fact is that the world is not laughing at the system of democracy but for the corruption in the country and how it has been covered up by the ruling government, said Javedkar.
Adding that the party will continue to fight against massive corruption of the Congress regime and its shameless cover-up, Javedkar said that the BJP will hold massive protest and dharnas over irregularity in coal blocks and 2G spectrum allocations on May 4 and5.
