Rahul Gandhi blames BJP Govt. in poll-bound Karnataka

Haveri (Karnataka), Apr. 26 (ANI): Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi on Friday alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Government in Karnataka has created a world record in corruption.

“If you visit any state and ask what you think about Karnataka then people will say that Karnataka government, the Bharatiya Janata Party led-government, has created a world record in corruption,” said Gandhi, while addressing an election rally here.

“If you want to see corruption then you should go and see the Bharatiya Janata Party led-government in Karnataka and you will not be able to see the level of corruption anywhere else,” he added.

During the rally, Gandhi also took a jibe at the BJP for not concentrating on issues of employment and youth development.

“In Karnataka, there is no news about employment, progress, and youth and there is only fight among the Bharatiya Janata Party leaders. They are not fighting for your development, but they are fighting for your money,” he said.

Gandhi assured the people that if the Congress Party is elected, it would focus on issues related to water, employment and power.

” We will give you a government which will again bring back Karnataka on the path of development. I want that people once again when they talk about Karnataka then they should say that the state is progressing rapidly,” he said.

Rahul Gandhi, who kicked off a high-voltage campaign for the May 5 Karnataka assembly polls, earlier on Tuesday said that his party would heal all the wounds of the people and fight for their rights.

An estimated 2,295 candidates have entered the fray for the assembly polls in Karnataka.

Elections to the 224-member Karnataka legislative assembly are to be held on May 5 and the counting of votes will be taken up on May 8. (ANI)
