Hyderabad, Apr 10 (TruthDive): Settai, a remake of the 2011 Bollywood comedy, Delhi Belly, has collected 16 crore in four days, reports Superwoods.
Settai is directed by R Kannan who has earlier directed hit comedy movies like ‘Kanden Kadhalai’, ‘Jeyam Kondan’ and ‘Vandhaan Vendraan’. The movie stars Arya, Hansika Motwani, Anjali, Santhanam and Premji Ameran in essential roles. Settai was released on April 5 worldwide.
The basic plot of Settai is retained as in its original film, but ‘Settai’ does have minor changes in the script. While Delhi Belly had some adult content, Settai had been modified to suit the audiences and decent dialogues have been made in the Tamil version. The story revolves around three room-mates, JK (Arya), a journalist, a graphic artist played by Premgi and a reporter Nadupakkam Nakki (Santhanam).
Veteran actor, Nasser appears in a negative role. According to sources, Arya, who had earlier worked with UTV for ‘Vettai’, took personal interest in ‘Delhi Belly’s’ Tamil remake.
