May 17 Movement takes siege of Congress office in Chennai

Chennai, Feb 24 (): Condemning the Congress government of being directly responsible for the killings of Eelam Tamils in Sri Lanka, volunteers, activists and representatives of May 17 Movement  took siege of Congress office in Chennai yesterday.

This siege protest was organised by May 17 Movement following the brutal and cold-blooded killing of LTTE chief Prabhakaran’s minor son, Balachandran Prabhakaran by the blood-thirsty Sri Lankan Army.

Thirumurugan Gandhi, the leader of May 17 Movement and many other activists who share similar sentiments were arrested by police.

Thirumurugan Gandhi at the time of arrest said that Pranab Mukherjee,Sonia Gandhi and Manmohan Singh are primarily responsible for the killings of Eelam Tamils and that they have acted in connivance with Mahinda Rajapakse.

Thirumurugan further stated that Manmohan Singh and Pranab Mukherjee have no authority  to lead the country. He vehemently demanded  to enquire Manmohan Singh and Pranab Mukherjee along with Mahinda Rajapakse.

Thirumurugan also demanded to shut down Congress office in Tamil Nadu and  that May 17 Movement will work tirelessly to chase away both the killer Congress and also the parties that support Congress  in 2014.

The Congress party representatives having prior knowledge of such a protest had deployed many Congress cadres and police men for security reasons.
