Kiran Kumar Reddy proposes to Sonia Gandhi to keep the State united

New Delhi, Feb 5 (TruthDive): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy met party president Sonia Gandhi along with Congress core committee members in New Delhi on Monday and discussed several issues connected to Telangana.

The meeting  lasted for an hour in which Mr Reddy is believed to have discussed issues like political consequences and the growing agitation between the TRS and TJAC in detail and also assured Sonia Gandhi that the government could handle pro-Telangana agitations. Reddy also discussed the matter with party vice-president Rahul Gandhi.

Not willing for the division of the state, the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy reportedly argued on the division of the state and strongly proposed to keep the state united. He also promised saying that his government can maintain law and order in the state and would take care if any demonstration is being carried out by the agitators on the issue.

Reddy also indicated the need to focus more on the general elections which is just fifteen months away from now. Ensuring good results for the party, Reddy asked the Congress high command to provide him freedom so that he can yield good results and can concentrate more on political challenges.

Pointing out that the party was able to clinch majority of seats in the recent cooperative society’s polls due to his hard work, Reddy told the Congress President that the BJP and the TRS were not able to win a sizeable number of seats even in Telangana.

Before inventing the party’s stand on Telangana, the central Congress leadership is expected to do some changes on the political front. Sources said Reddy and the Congress leaders however denied revealing the details of the meeting.

Reddy also met other Congress leaders including party’s Andhra in-charge Ghulam Nabi Azad, Digivjaya Singh as well as Motilal Vora. Kiran Kumar Reddy also discussed the matter with President Pranab Mukherjee who had earlier handled the Telangana problem smoothly before taking charge of the highest post of the country .

  1. Kiran will support United nonsense. If Telangana is granted he will be the first one to lose his job, which he got by sheer luck. The state has not seen a CM like him, a CM without the support of a single MLA
