Chennai, Feb 2 (TruthDive): The audio of Arya’s upcoming Tamil film Settai was launched on January 30 in a grand manner at a popular multiplex in Chennai. The audio was launched by director Bala.
The launch function was a star-dubbed affair graced by director Kannan, music director Thaman, PG Muthaih, lyricist Karky, actors Arya, Premgi, Hansika and Anjali.
Settai is a remake movie of 2011 Bollywood hit film Delhi Belly, which starred Imran Khan, Vir Das, Kunaal Roy Kapur, Poorna Jagannathan and others. Settai stars Arya, Anjali, Santhanam, Premji Amaren and Hansika Motwani. The Tamil comedy is directed by R Kannan.
Director Kannan is very happy about the proceedings of the film and said that Arya, Santhanam and Premgi are real life friends and the team has also translated the same on the screen as well.
The Delhi Belly team were also present at the launch function. Delhi Belly director Abhinay Deo, Kunal Roy Kapoor and UTV’s Siddharth Roy Kapur were present at the occasion. They said that they were happy with the outcome of ‘Settai’ even though they did not understand the language.
Settai album comprises of five songs written by Thamari, Madhan Karky and Na Muthukumar, for which the music is composed by Thaman. The most interesting coincidence is that Madhan Karky started his career as lyricst with Kanden Kadhalai, which was produced by G Dhananjayan and directed by Kannan. He was again roped up with the same team for his 100th song, Agalathey Agalathey.
Vijay Prakash, Gaana Bala, Mega, Karthik, Suchitra, Sricharan, Chinmayi, Andrea Jeremiah, Anbu Raju and Devan Ekambaram have lent their voice for the songs. During the launch, three songs and a new trailer were screened. Two songs were shot in Switzerland with Arya and two ladies and another with Premgi were screened.
Settai is dubbed in Telugu as Naughty Boys and is scheduled for April release.
