Melbourne, Feb. 1 (ANI): Sylvester Stallone has said that he was so desperate for cash in the early days of his career that he sold his beloved pooch for 50 dollars – only to reacquire the hound for 3,000 dollars, after selling the script to his breakthrough film ‘Rocky’ just a week later.
He said that he tied his dog up at a store with a sign that said a hundred bucks but only got 50 dollars from a guy called Little Jimmy, News.com.au reported.
After selling the ‘Rocky’ script, he went to see Little Jimmy and begged for the dog back, but the little man lined up his children and said that his kids loved the dog.
Stallone said that Little Jimmy had wanted to fight him and had warned him that he was going kill him.
Stallone said that he couldn’t have fought him, as he feared getting arrested by the cops, so he offered to pay double, which became 3,000 dollars, and later cast him in his film ‘Rocky.’ (ANI)
