New Delhi, Jan 30 (): Bollywood star Akshay Kumar promoted his upcoming film Special Chabbis, by singing a song from his film for the fans who gathered to watch the hockey match between Punjab Warriors and Delhi Waveriders in New Delhi yesterday.
The 45-year-old actor had an interaction with the audiences at the stadium. He said that he felt so good to be back to Delhi, as Delhi was his home city and he added no other feeling gave him a better feeling than returning to Delhi. Akshay said Delhi guys are always very special to him and also said he wished to sing a special song for them.
Akshay sang the entire song ‘Mujh mein tu’, which has been specially recorded for the promotion of his film. He went up and down the length of the stadium riding a special bike as fans went crazy screaming his name. The lead lady of the film, Kajal Aggarwal also joined him in the promotion.
Directed by Neeraj Pandey, Special 26 stars Akshay Kumar, Kajal Aggarwal, Manoj Bajpayee, Jimmy Shergill and Anupam Kher.
Special 26 is based on a real-life crime incident that happened in the 1980s, when a group of 26 conmen rob rich businessmen and industrialists by posing as CBI and income tax officials. Akshay plays a very simple man and the movie depicts how his life was shaken up.
Akshay says the film carries an important message for audiences. The moral behind the story is everyone should be very alert and careful. For example when you hire a housemaid or servant, you should know about them to avoid being cheated or being taken for a ride.
During the promotional efforts in the hockey grounds, Akshay added a few words about Hockey India League matches, which has become a hit in sports this year. The actor said that he is a sports person by heart and it is good to see world-class hockey action across cities in the country.
