Ranbir Kapoor to be guest lecturer at Yale University

Mumbai, Jan 29 (TruthDive): Bollywood’s brightest star Ranbir Kapoor has been called as a guest lecturer at Yale University, on April 8 this year.

The great honour comes one year after Bollywood Badshah Shahrukh Khan became the first Bollywood star to be called to give a lecture at Ivy League school. The youth icon Ranbir Kapoor will be the second Bollywood actor to speak at the American education institution, Yale University.

Ranbir Kapoor, grandson of renowned actor Raj Kapoor and son of Rishi Kapoor, has easily won the heart of fans through his brilliant performance both in Rockstar and in Barfi.

The actor has also been garnering awards for his tremendous performance in Rockstar and Barfi. He can be shown as an exemption to the pattern where the actors overshadowed by a great familyin the backdrop ends up a failure.

After thrilling the theatre audience, Ranbir is now gearing up to participate in the Yale University function, by receiving the honorary invitation to give a speech. He is said to be excited on hearing the news as well as practising hard to win hearts of the audience in the university.

At present, Ranbir is busy with his shooting schedules of Ayan Mukerji’s Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani in Kashmir and is then expected to join Abhinav Kashyap’s unit of Besharam in Chandigarh. And, now the young guest lecturer is altering his dates and shoot schedule to fit in his April trip to US.

On 12 April, 2012, Shahrukh Khan had joined as Chubb Fellows of Yale University, which is one of the Ivy League institution’s highest honours for promoting human ideals through art. But his visit to the US began on a controversial note when he was detained and questioned for an hour and a half by immigration authorities at a New York airport.
