Jan 23 (): Sony has unveiled a new Android tablet, Sony Xperia Tablet Z, the world’s lightest and thinnest 10.1 inch tablet.
The Android-powered tablet Xperia Z is thinner than Apple iPad mini. The thickness is 0.27in (6.9mm), 0.01in thinner than the Apple’s iPad Mini in spite of presenting a bigger screen of 10.1in.
Competitor of Sony, Google Inc’s Nexus 10 tablet measures 8.9 mm thick, while Apple Inc’s iPad mini is 7.9 mm. The official images released showcases Xperia Tablet Z like a larger version of Sony’s Xperia Z line of handsets.
