For Hindi remake, Akshay Kumar will be sporting a leaner, ‘younger’ look. He pairs with Sonakshi Sinha with whom he worked in “Rowdy Rathore”, remake of Rajamouli’s ‘Vikramarkudu’ and in “Joker.”
Earlier, Kajal Aggarwal was said to be the heroine in the flick and finally director, A R Murugadoss settled for Parineeti Chopra. But, hero of the film Akshay Kumar has at last interfered and asked the makers to rope in only Sonakshi Sinha.
Akshay enjoyed a splendid year 2012, when he gave as many as five hits – out of his six outings. “Housefull 2″, “Rowdy Rathore”, “Oh My God!” and ” Khiladi 786″ were his hits of 2012. These films earned excellent profits, rocking at the box-office, as well as entered the 100-crore club. The only misery movie was “Joker.”
Vijay starring action thriller, “Thuppakki”, is originally a Tamil movie, which was released on Diwali day 2012 and made a strong note at the box office. The movie was also raved by film critics down south.
Hindi version of “Thuppakki” is also directed by AR Murugadoss. This Hindi version will be the second Bollywood outing by Murugadoss after “Ghajini.”
Murugadoss entered Bollywood film industry with 2008 film “Ghajini”, a remake of Tamil movie Ghajini. Aamir Khan played the lead role. The movie gave a striking success, which started a trend among biggies of the Bollywood industry looking for good scripts down south.
Now, A R Murugadoss’s “Thuppakki” may help Akshay repeat his latest achievement at the box office.
