Former First Daughters admit nibbling gingerbread White Houses

New York, Dec. 22 (ANI): Former First Daughters from Amy Carter to Barbara Bush, all have managed to sneak a bite from the gingerbread White Houses, it has been revealed.

Carter admitted that she sneaked a bite from the back of a gingerbread White House when her father Jimmy was in the office.

“I think I probably broke a piece off. From the back, hopefully,” she said.

The gingerbread houses created by the White House kitchen take weeks to plan, bake, build, and decorate, the New York Daily News reported.

Jenna Bush swore that she saw her sister Barbara nibbling on the gingerbread, marzipan and chocolate creation while their dad was in the White House.

Chelsea Clinton, (and even Hillary herself) have grudgingly confessed to sneaking a bite of forbidden frosted goodness.

The unveiling of a gingerbread White House has become an annual tradition for the First Family.

The sugary replica usually sits in the State Dining Room during the holiday season, tempting thousands of guests who tour the home.

Former First Lady Pat Nixon started the gingerbread house tradition in 1969.

According to NBC, her daughters remember how their father Richard Nixon would sneak a tiny chip from behind the house, where he thought no one would notice. (ANI)
