Mumbai, Dec 19 (): Salman Khan’s Dabangg 2, which releases on December 21, 2012 Friday, will be this year’s final big release in the Bollywood film industry.
Dabangg 2 is the sequel of Salman’s previous blockbuster movie Dabangg released on Eid, September 10, 2010. The movie broke many box-office records and became the highest-grossing Bollywood film of 2010.
Having given such a thunderous performance two years back with Dabangg, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is now all set to entertain his fans with his popular avatar of Chulbul Pandey in Dabangg 2.

Abhinav Kashyap directed the original version, but he opted out of the sequel, so, Salman’s brother and producer Arbaaz Khan has done the direction.
Dabangg 2 is made under the banner of Arbaaz Khan Productions and this will be Arbaaz Khan’s debut film as a director. Dilip Shukla has written the story of Dabangg 2.
Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha are representing their roles again as Chulbul Pandey and Rajjo, while Arbaaz features Makhanchan Pandey and Vinod Khanna as Prajapati Pandey.
Sonu Sood did the villain role Chhedi Singh in Dabangg, which was a turning point in his career. He was initially roped in the role, but as he had date issues he opted out of the film. Now, the villain role in Dabangg 2 is done by southern star Prakash Raj.
Actress Kareena Kapoor has appeared in an item song Fevicol Se in this sequel, which has topped the music charts already.
Dabangg 2 is made at a budget of around Rs 50 crore and is likely to release in over 3,000 screens.
