Chennai, Dec 15 (): Due to huge expectations created by the audio tracks of AR Rahman’s Kadal audio album among the music lovers, the south Indian film industry has witnessed for the first time the audio release of a movie, two days earlier on December 15, instead of its scheduled audio release on December 17. The audio CDs of Kadal will be available in the music stores from today.
‘Kadal’, made under the production house, Madras Talkies, directed by Mani Ratnam is the debut film of Gautham Karthick, son of famous Tamil actor Karthik and Tulasi Nair, daughter of yesteryear actress Radha. The music for the movie is composed by AR Rahman and the music tracks of Kadal have become a runaway chart-buster.
Looking at the phenomenal advance booking for the album, Sony Music, who has got the music rights for the movie, has advanced its audio launch by two days.
Sources revealed this decision was taken after one of the tracks of the Kadal music album, ‘Nenjukulley’ has become a runaway chartbuster and the Sony Music has received a phenomenal advance booking for the album.
Recently, ace music director AR Rahman released the ‘Nenjukulley’ track on MTV. Then, expectations about the album reached its high after ‘Nenjukulley’ and another song, ‘Elay Keechan’ were released online and both have become highly popular and even topped the iTunes chart.
A spokesperson from Sony Music said that once AR Rahman released the song in MTV, there was a tremendous buzz and Kadal audio album received unbelievable advance booking orders, which led the company to advance its release by two days and get a huge opening during the weekend.
Critics are already raving about the music album saying this album is ARR’s best in recent times. The production unit says A R Rahman’s music is one of the major highlights in this film.
