New Delhi, Dec 6 (TruthDive): LG Electronics yesterday launched the Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich)-powered Optimus L9 smartphone in India for Rs. 23,000.
The Optimus L9 is the latest addition in the stylish L-Series smartphones from LG. Earlier models L3, L5 and L7 are already available in the country.
It has a 4.7” capacitive touch screen with a 960 x 540 resolution. It is powered with 1GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor and 1GB RAM. It has a 5 MP rear camera with a LED flash, and a VGA front facing camera. It is built with a 4 GB internal memory that can be expanded up to 32 GB via microSD card. It has a 2150 mAh battery and a back-up to 12 hours of talk time and up to 830 hours of standby.
For connectivity, the Optimus L9 supports 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, DLNA, Bluetooth and A-GPS. The device measures 131.9 x 68.2 x 9.1mm and weighs around 125 grams.
LG Optimus L9 is loaded with apps like QuickTranslator, QuickMemo MY Style Keypad and CheeseShutter. It uses Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology.

Soon Kwon, LG’s President South West Asia Region said that LG Optimus L9 has been designed in a way that it can cater to every need of smart consumers who demands a powerhouse of style, performance and efficiency in their smartphones.
This Android smartphone L9 is priced at Rs 23,000 maximum retail price. However, the retail stores are selling for a quite less price, at around Rs. 18,500.
