New Delhi, Nov 25 (): Samsung launches its Android-based Galaxy Camera in India priced at Rs. 29,900. The camera allows users to run its applications in addition to sharing and shooting photos instantaneously. It also features Wi-Fi for convenient image as well as video sharing from almost anywhere. The Samsung Galaxy camera was launched on Friday at an event in Delhi.
This digital camera runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS. It features a 16.3-megapixel sensor with f/2.8 aperture and 23 mm-480 mm lens that has 21x super long optical zoom. It has 4.8 inch S-LCD display that certainly enhances its utility.It has a resolution of 1280×720 pixels translating into 308 ppi.
It has a quad core chip 1.4 GHz Exynos 4412 mobile processor with Mali-400MP graphics chip. It comes with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB internal storage, which can be expanded using a microSD card. Pictures can be taken at 100 to 3200 ISO and the videos can be recorded in HD 1080p.
The camera is powered with 1650 mAh battery, which has up to 280 hours of 3G standby, the company said.
It features a microSIM slot and is a 3G capable device. Connectivity options include 3G (HSPA+ 21Mbps), HDMI 1.4, WiFi a/b/g/n, WiFi HT40, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. The pictures snapped in this camera can be edited with the software applications of Android platform and can be immediately shared with friends and others with the social media and even cloud service like Facebook, Dropbox, AllShare Play, Family Story, Instagram and Twitter.
The dimension of the camera is very handy with 128.7 X 70.8 X 19.1 mm and weighs 305 gm.
