Mumbai, Nov 11 (TruthDive): The Gulab Gang leader Sampat Pal’s journey on the show finally came to an end as she got evicted out of the Bigg Boss house.
Gulabi gang is a group of rural women in pink saris who fight social injustice in Uttar Pradesh. Gulabi Gang leader Sampat Pal`s main motive behind entering reality show ‘Bigg Boss 6’ was to spread the message of women empowerment inside the house. But she says she couldn`t do so because everyone`s “game”.
This week three people were nominated for eviction, actor Vrajesh Hirjee, Gulab Gang leader Sampat Pal Devi and celebrity hairstylist Sapna Bhavnani.
Sampat was referred lovingly as ‘Mataji’ by all other inmates of the Bigg Boss 6 house. She has finished five weeks inside the house. The moment Salman Khan, the host of the show, declared her eviction, Sampat jumped with joy and said she was happy to go back home.
Pal, who has mentored huge groups of women to stand against injustice and hails from Bundelkhand, Madhya Pradesh says she never understood the meaning of “game” until she entered the ‘Bigg Boss’ house. Asked if it was difficult to adjust with high-profile celebrities, Pal says it did not affect her, but their cunning attitude took her by surprise.
Pal, who sported her trademark pink-coloured outfit throughout the show, even took active part in all the tasks and cooked for the housemates too. She was endearing in her own way. She was firm in making her point about anything and everything.
Slowly but steadily, Sampat opened up to her activist group of friends including Aseem and Sapna. She got along with every participant in the beginning of Bigg Boss 6, but as the show gained momentum, conflicts crept in and her relationship got affected with almost every member of the house.
The Gulabi gang leader has definitely made a mark in the Bigg Boss house and her absence will be felt amongst the housemates, when it comes to entertainment!
