Saif-Kareena sangeet ceremony was a private affair

Mumbai, Oct 15 (TruthDive): Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor’s pre-wedding celebrations started with sangeet ceremony on October 14, Sunday at Kareena Kapoor’s Bandra residence in Mumbai on Sunday.

Kareena wore an orangish-yellow colour lehenga with a sparkling heavily worked golden choli for the ceremony. Her attire was designed by Manish Malhotra. For the rich clothes of the designer, Kareena wore a heavy necklace with a pair of long earrings and a long row of dark green bangles on her arms. She had dressed up her hair with a gajra, which added a bridal charm to her. Saif was dressed in white.

The ceremony was a private affair and was attended by the couple’s very close relatives and friends. The family members who attended the ceremony included sisters of Saif Ali Khan, actress Soha and jewellery designer Saba and Saif’s daughter Sara Ali Khan accomapnied by his first wife Amrita Singh. Soha’s beau, actor Kunal Khemu, was also at the sangeet.

Kareena Kapoor’s relatives who attended the ceremony were Kareena’s mother Babita, Neetu Kapoor, mother of Ranbir Kapoor and wife of Rishi Kapoor, Karishma Kapoor, Reema, daughter of Raj Kapoor and her son Armaan Jain.

Friends of both Saif and Kareena like Malaika Arora Khan, Amrita Arora, Karan Johar, Tushe Kapoor, Manish Malhotra, Sanjay Kapoor and his wife were present at the ceremony.

Saif- Kareena will register their marriage on 15th October at Saif Ali Khan’s residence in Mumbai and then on 16th October, the couple will have a nikaah ceremony in Delhi, which will be followed by a grand reception on 18th October.

For the wedding ceremony, Kareena will be wearing an antique wedding outfit in gold, rust and blue colour, which was worn by her mother-in-law Sharmila Tagore during her marriage and the wedding dress is altered by Manish Malhotra while Saif will wear his father’s wedding achkan, which is altered by Raghuvendra Rathod.
