Chennai, Oct 14 (): Suriya’s Maattrraan in Tamil and Brothers in Telugu version is roaring at the Box Office. Both the Tamil and Telugu versions of the film were released on October 12, Friday. As expected, the film has got a great response at the Box Office on the opening day.
Maattrraan was released in about 1,200 screens all over the world and in 32 screens in Chennai alone. As per the reports released by Superwoods, Maattrraan ( Brothers) has collected 9.5 crore on its opening day.
Maattrraan reviews given by film critics were really very good. Almost all review sites and leading newspapers gave thumbs up to the movie. The movie has a decent storyline and the director has done a marvellous job.
Above all, Suriya was appreciated very much for his terrific performance playing conjoined twins – Akhil and Vimal bringing in distinctive variations in feelings and expressions.
AGS Entertainment has produced Maattrraan, under the direction of KV Anand and Harris Jeyaraj has composed music. The movie features Suriya and Kajal Agarwal in lead roles. As Suriya has played the conjoined twins role, the movie created huge expectation among the big mass of Suriya’s fans.
Usually Suriya’s films witness a grand opening. The same happened for Maattrraan too. Not only in Chennai, but also in the other parts of Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh huge crowds were seen outside cinema halls where the film has been released.
The film has showed grand response at almost all the centres. Maattrraan witnessed about 90% occupancy in Chennai and in other parts of Tamil Nadu the movie saw an average of 70% occupancy. Reports from Andhra Pradesh and from other countries also have revealed that Maattrraan was welcomed grandly by the Suriya’s fans, who had the curiosity to watch the movie mainly to watch Suriya in twins role.
