KBC 6 : First crorepati is Kashmir’s Manoj Raina

Mumbai, Sep 9 (): KBC 6, the sixth season of “Kaun Banega Crorepati” started on September 7. The show saw Manoj Raina, from Kashmir as its first contestant to win one crore in the show.

A crore was a dream for the Kashmiri, which came true by participating in the reality game show KBC-6. Now, Manoj, an employee from Indian Railways wants to renovate his house in Chowgam, his home town.

Manoj Raina is in great excitement as he was the first player of KBC 6 to win the prize money of Rs 1 crore and as well got the opportunity of meeting his favourite star Amitabh Bachchan and now in the position of renovating his house in his native place.

The Kashmiri said he had left his native town and house in 1990. His house in the beautiful Kashmir valley was damaged by the turmoil there. He wished to use the prize money for re-building his house and also he has plans of helping his tribal people, in whatever way he could.

He is now 48-years-old and lives in Jammu with his old parents, loving wife and 10-year-old son. All members from his family accompanied him to sets of KBC 6.

Full of excitement, Manoj complemented Amitabhji. He said Amitabh is a real legend and shows lots of affection and love. He looks so warm and is magical.

He said he was confident from the time he finished the Fastest Finger First round in 5.6 seconds.

The first one crore winner of this season, Manoj has been trying to join the show, since the beginning of the show. But only in this season he got the opportunity. Through these years, he kept himself updated with all happenings in India and the world. He truly believed knowledge could help him reach the highest level. His victory will be aired on Sony channel during Sunday’s episode.
