Mumbai, Aug 21 (TruthDive): Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ is a blockbuster. The film released on August 15, has broken many box office records. In just six days of its release, the romantic action thriller has crushed all previous collection records by raking in approximately Rs 120 crores.
First, the movie earned more than Rs 32 crore on its opening day. Then, within just five days of its release, ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ crossed the Rs 100 crore mark, which is also a new record. Thirdly on Eid, ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ made another Rs 20 crore, which is the highest ever Monday figure. Totally, it has collected about Rs 120 crores at the box office within a short period of 6 days.
‘Ek Tha Tiger’ is Yash Raj’s first film to cross the Rs 100 crore mark and this is Salman Khan’s fourth century, after Dabangg, Bodyguard and Ready.
Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted “Ek Tha Tiger is @BeingSalmanKhan’s 4th century (100 cr), the other three being Dabangg (147 crore), Ready (122 crore) and Bodyguard (148 crore)”.

Wednesday, 15 August – Rs. 32.92crores
Thursday, 16 August – Rs. 14.5 crore
Friday, 17 August – Rs. 12.90 crore
Saturday, 18 August - Rs. 16.75 crore
Sunday, 19 August – Rs. 23 crore
So the 5 days extended weekend collection of the movie stands at Rs 100 crore.
As per the early trends, Salman-Katrina starrer film has earned Rs 20 crore on the sixth day. The film, which released on Wednesday (August 15, Independence Day) took advantage of four holidays in its first six days at the box office, including the Eid holiday on Monday.
The movie also did very well in the overseas market. The opening weekend collection in various countries is as follows:
