Modi largely favoured as the next PM, says I am ‘Nirvikar’

Ahmedabad, Aug 17 (): In regarding to the BJP President, Nitin Gadkari’s announcement of the six Prime Ministerial candidates of the BJP, the Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today declared that he remains to be ‘nirvikar’ (unaffected) as his focus is on the strength of the six crore people of Gujarat.

“People those who maintain in doing yoga and more importantly ‘pranayam’ knows very well that when you perform ‘pranayam’, obviously you don’t hear the sound of birds chirping around and other noises. For the people who regularly perform these ‘pranayam’, need not worry about bright light and dark night, as you become ’nirvikar’. Similarly, I am Nirvikar about all these issues,” said Modi while responding to reporters regarding his aim of becoming the Prime Minister.

“My focus is on the six crore people of Gujarat and their development and progress which I regard to be the parameter of my success,” admitted the Gujarat Chief Minister to a question on leading at the national level after achieving success in the state.

Modi’s comments on the issue comes after the BJP president Nitin Gadkari who earlier said that Modi is considered to be one of the six prime Minister candidates of the BJP and the party has not yet taken any particular decision regarding this. It is believed that there is some argument going between different BJP leaders in order to become the party’s prime ministerial candidate for the 2014 elections.

Modi was acting in response to questions from industry leaders and professionals at an interactive session that was organized by the All India Management Association (AIMA) here today.

Amusingly all the members at the interactive session were actively willing for ‘PM Modi’ as most of their questions were involved with Modi’s larger ambition in becoming the PM or not, to which Modi very humbly scuttled the queries.

Most of the people who took part in the session strongly favoured Modi as the next PM, by saying that many policy decisions were being abandoned these days due to non-assertiveness of our present PM, hence the country is in need of somebody like Modi as PM.
