New Delhi, May 12 (): Box office collection reports say film ‘Ishaqzaade’, Arjun Kapoor’s debut movie and Parineeti Chopra’s has collected Rs 5.2 crore on the opening day.
Taran Adarsh, film trade analyst on Saturday said according to the early estimates, the movie ‘Ishaqzaade’ which was released on Friday had a very good opening.
Adarsh tweeted; Ishaqzaade also stands in the fifth position of this year’s major openings after Hirthik Roshan’s Agneepath, Akshay Kumar’s Housefull 2, Saif Ali Khan’s Agent Vinod and Emran’s Jannat 2.
‘Ishaqzaade’ is Arjun’s debut film and fate of his acting career also depends on the success of this movie. Arjun Kapoor is the son of producer Boney Kapoor.
‘Ishaqzaade’ will also be the 1st solo release of ‘Ladies v/s Ricky Bahl’ actor Parineeti Chopra.
The movie’s director is Habib Faisal. The movie is made on a budget of Rs 25 crore.
‘Ishaqzaade’ narrates the story of 22-year-old Parma (Arjun) a short tempered and an immature bully, who worships his grandfather. His life gets twisted when he falls in love with Zoya (Parineeti). Zoya in 20’s is a boisterous girl coming from a wealthy political family. She dreams to become a MLA. Zoya and Parma are born to hate, but intended to love.
Arjun reduced his weight by 50 kg to get him fit to role he dons in the movie. Arjun has credited Salman Khan for being more than a guide to him.
Arjun is happy that he has done his first movie up to the viewer’s expectations. This may be the actor’s first acting project but he is not at all new to film world as he is a member of a filmy family.
Arjun says he wished to be actor but as being overweight he lost his confidence to appear in front of the camera. However, Salman Khan was the one who helped him understand his love for acting.
