Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK patriarch M. Karunanidhi seems to be a desperate man these days. His comments, reactions and flip-flops on the on-going genocide of Tamils by the Rajapaksa regime (in the latest war crime, they have just massacred over a thousand civilians using cluster bombs, white phosphorus and other banned chemical weapons) would be amusing, if it were a movie or a play.
But this is no movie or play – thousands of men, women and children (both born and unborn) are being butchered and used as human shields by the genocidal Sri Lankan army as they advance and occupy a supposedly “no-fire zone”, the civilian toll is simply unimaginable and constitutes the worst war crimes of the 21st century. In this genocide without witness, where civilians are starved, denied medicines and then murdered in cold blood using banned weapons, all carried out in a planned, cold-blooded manner in the absence of journalists and humanitarian aid workers, Mr. Karunanidhi is aware that he is an accomplice.

It is a script gone terribly wrong for the octogenarian script writer – the man who likes to call himself the “leader of world Tamils”. His attempts to plead that he is helpless, tearful, concerned etc. all go against what everyone is aware of. Along with rogue regimes of the world, the Indian establishment is actively supporting the genocide by supplying weapons, money and blocking efforts to bring the genocide to the notice of the world and Mr. Karunanidhi’s DMK is one of the largest constituents of what is left of the UPA regime.
The CM had stated months ago: If this (UPA) government cannot stop the war and the killings of Tamils, we have to wonder whether we need such a government. That was when the script writer collected the resignations of TN MPs and held them, ready to forward them to the Speaker. So much Tamil blood has been spilled in Eelam since then, with the UN shamelessly admitting that over 4,500 civilians were killed and more than 10,000 injured in the last three months alone and the situation of civilians is catastrophic. That’s not including the one thousand murdered yesterday and hundreds being killed as you read this, not to mention the tens of thousands starving and thousands detained in barbed-wire fenced concentration camps in inhuman conditions and subject to degrading treatment by the world’s most notorious armed forces.
Yet, Mr. Karunanidhi has not only performed several flip-flops since then, the DMK is actually contesting the Parliamentary elections in alliance with the hated Congress party! What does Mr. Karunanidhi think? That the people of Tamil Nadu are fools? That the people of Tamil Nadu don’t have an ounce of sanity or humanity left in them? That the people of the state will be fooled by the drama that is being enacted by the octogenarian script writer whose only concern seems to be the completion of his 5-year term and ensuring a line of succession within his family? If that’s the case, someone in the DMK needs to give their leader a dose of reality, for the their own good!
The DMK has come a long way and it should know this well. Way back in 1965, when the people of Tamil Nadu were betrayed by the TN Congress party leaders to please their bosses in Delhi, they were taught a stinging lesson in the 1967 elections. The Congress was annihilated completely in Tamil Nadu. The DMK and its splinter groups have controlled the regional politics since then. How times have changed! In an unbelievable twist of fate, when electoral history is going to repeat itself, the DMK faces complete annihilation along with its beloved ally – the Congress whose candidates, including several Union Ministers, are going to bite the dust in the most humiliating manner possible, losing their deposits!
Mr. Karunanidhi knows this very well. He also knows that any amount of spin by his media channels or any further acts of drama that he may stage, like sending letters and telegrams to the Prime Minister cannot fool the people – I have lost count of the “appeals”, “letters” and other non-sensical stuff that the TN CM has done, knowing very well that the only thing that would have worked, the only action that could have saved thousands of lives, was forwarding those resignations that he had so eagerly collected.
This is what worries the “leader of world Tamils” – not the fact that his inaction on this life-and-death issue has resulted in the loss of thousands of innocent lives. He is worried because he knows that his DMK is going to be buried in the same grave as his beloved alliance partner. For a politician, author and script writer who has churned out innumerable stories, plays and movie scripts, this is a real life script that has gone bloody horribly wrong!

Firstly, let me thank the author, An Alien Mr. AKA Raj, for his devotion of time, energy and intellectual interest and aptitude in preparing this presentation on current state of affairs and ongoing carnage in Eelam and the CM Karuna’s tacit murderous contribution to the midwife Indian Congress (Sonia) in their second attempt to abort a matured pregnancy before its delivery. First attempt to abort in 1987 – 91, failed and now it has developed into nightmarish malignant. It is a matchless, well-defined, analytical presentation of high caliber of its kind – with video clips substantiation, by a non-EelamTamil brother, from a distant continent (I suppose), at a time of our need. Unlike idling – gossiping stray commentators, author’s presentation style of facts, actions and inactions of Karuna and changing realities is highly professional and makes me believing the author is well-informed of the history and on-going and unfolding events on day-to-day basis. Events are well narrated in the order of sequence, as they happened. I take my hat-off (Thalai’ pa’kai) and salute to Mr. Raj. While looking forward for more of his contribution for our noble cause, let’s, the Eelam Tamil nation, be appreciative and grateful to Mr. Raj for his contribution and this presentation. Your portayal of Karuna is not the first of its kind. Everyone around the world is anxious of every moment in Lanka. But still people look for the same Karuna everytime they need. He has been powerfull in the past but not now. Am not supporter of Karuna nor enemy. For me he is just another politician who makes use of this opportunity to tune in the votes. Again there is bandh organised tomorrow in tamil nadu supposedly to prove their stand on this. Serious to say no party is ready to boycott elections in tamil nadu. If they are concerned about the plight of tamilians in Lanka, they should have boycotted the elections.

I think we have to start deconstructing our leaders..Not in the way of Kannadasan or Cho, with a personal agenda…But more positively to identify their flaws and alternatively to identify good leaders amongst them..
We have made too many mountains out of mole hills..This has turned into the story of emperor’s clothes. Others admire a person, because I admire a person. I admire a person because others admire a person..This thin pack of cards have failed on us during times of need..We need to stop manufacturing fake heroes, unable to find real ones.
And I think we need to be realistic abt our leaders also..We can only look at them as CEOs of Orgs, where we are stakeholders..We cant expect CEOs to risk their jobs or livelihood for the sake of stakeholders..Similarly with our leaders. Am not saying this is how it should be, but accepting the fact that this is how it is..All parties are operating like corporations, the larger the corporation the more morally bankrupt they are. The reason is they have more resources to protect..

At a time when the rogue SinHELLa state is manipulating all the lowlife creatures like Ban Ki-Moon and others at the UN Security Council (with the help of the stinking swine in the Indian establishment) to actually back the most heinous war crimes of the 21st century, I would be failing in my duty as a human being (not just a Tamil) if I don’t write about how the worthless, traitorous, power-hungry politicians of Tamil Nadu.
CM’s latest drama (the strike) has just come to an end here in TN. I’m really stunned by the actions of the self-proclaimed “leader of world Tamils”. He not only had a golden opportunity to save the lives of thousands of innocents (by asking the MPs to resign) that he deliberately avoided, he’s claiming loudly that he has made so many sacrifices for the Tamils of Eelam when he is wedded to the bas****s in the Congress establishment who are actively backing the genocidal Rajapaksa criminals.

I agree, Ronin. Karunanidhi has done good deeds in the past for Tamil Nadu, that cannot be denied. But his greed for power is going to lead to his party’s downfall now. Politics has become personality based politics. This should change.

Thank you very much, for your contribution narrating the complete history of Tamils of Eelam (Ceylon) and the history of political twist and turns and events that occurred during the last 60 years and analyzing the tragic untimely demise of Rajiv Gandhi in different angles and proposing conciliatory justifiable ways to move forward to find solutions to struggle of Eelam people. I am really much appreciative of your keen interest, efforts and devotion of mind and time.

• It was not the late Mr. Padmanabah who became the Chief Minister – but it was Mr. Varatharajah Perprumal.
• Lately, the so called Provincial Council became functionless from day one. No powers were enacted for the Council. Office for the CM was assigned on paper but no chair for him sit, and no telephone and so many other things were deprived. Having witnessed all these episodes of the Accord, as window-dressing to hoodwink all those who concerned, it was the same Mr. Varatharajah Perprumal who declared ‘Independence of Tamil Eelam’ 1989. Consequently, he fled (Rescued) to India and became a ‘Guest of Political Blunder’ committed by India, still he is somewhere in north India and actively contributing in policy-making in Sri Lanka matters.
