The election results will decide if Mr Manmohan Singh appointed by Ms Sonia Gandhi of Congress Party will continue as the Prime Minister or Mr L.K. Advani – the leader of the opposition party – Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will become the new Prime Minister.  There could be surprise elements from the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) led by Ms Mayawati who have clearly displayed intentions to be a major contender in the national politics. Will Indians embrace change or continue on the path laid by the Congress party is an interesting outcome to watch out for.
